Diana Safieh – Part-time Coordinator
Diana Safieh has managed Operations and Events for companies and charities for over 15 years. Diana has spent much of her life in the charity sector, fundraising for humanitarian and development projects in Palestine. She has worked in events and fundraising for St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital, Galilee Foundation and Welfare Association. She has been invested as a member of the Order of St John for her contribution to the charitable sector. Diana obtained a BA in Environment and Society from Kings College, London and an MSc in Sustainable Development.
Martha Scott-Cracknell – Programmes Officer
Martha Scott-Cracknell has worked for a number of organisations in the peace advocacy, interfaith and education sector. Martha was a Balfour Project Peace Advocacy Fellow 2020-21 and has worked as Programmes Officer since 2021. Amongst other roles, she works alongside Matan Rosenstrauch and John McHugo to coordinate the Fellowship programme. Martha obtained a BA in Religion, Politics and Society from the University of Leeds and a MSt in the Study of Religions from the University of Oxford.
Matan Rosenstrauch – Peace Advocacy Fellowship Coordinator
Matan Rosenstrauch is an anti-occupation activist and Peace Advocacy Fellowship Coordinator since 2019. He has worked with Jewish communities’ anti-occupation organisations and helped establish the Jewish Democratic Initiative, a South African charity. He is an organiser for Meretz UK and Advocacy Officer for the Arab Centre for Progress which promotes confederation as a substitute for the two-state solution. He holds a BA in Jewish History from Ben Gurion University and an MA in Community Developments Studies from the Hebrew University. Matan teaches Hebrew privately.
Eibhlin Priestley – Education Officer
As Education Officer, Eibhlin Priestley oversees the development and delivery of Balfour Project’s workshop programme for schools. She is a PhD Candidate at the University of Cambridge working on a social and economic history of the Syro-Lebanese community in 20th century Sudan. Prior to this she held roles in communications, research and education for institutions including the EUI, the Italian Ministry of Public Education, the Arab Studies Institute and the University of Sussex.
